My senior year bucket list

It's that time of year again: a light jacket has become essential for my morning walk to the car, Friday Night Lights and Saturday football has begun, and Starbucks is finally gracing us with its fall menu.

That's right, it's back to school season.

But things are a bit different, too. I open Common Application more often than I'd prefer, my conversations at school consist of "where are you early-ing?" and "are you going to take the SAT again?," and my friends are all posting about their "last firsts."

Right again. It's also senior season for the class of 2026.

Since I am in such a sentimental mood lately, I thought it would be neat to make a senior year bucket list:

  • Watch Superman with the Student Council Executive Board

  • Turn 18

  • Vote!

  • Run a 5k

  • Learn how to play the guitar

  • Hang out with friends I've never met outside of school

  • Chop off my hair and get a bob

  • Eat at an Indian restaurant

  • Go on a trip with just my mom

  • Meet up with my RSI friends in Washington D.C. in December

  • Read all of Jane Austen's books

  • Watch Pride and Prejudice (1995)

  • Run a 10k

  • Bake a good cake

  • Spend time with my aunt and uncle

  • Record songs with my fancy equipment

  • Get my car cleaned

  • Learn to cook rice

  • Make a high-school scrapbook

  • Post more on this blog

A note on the last point:

I've been intimidated to post these types of posts (which is silly because this is my blog) because I'm scared that I'm not writing enough or that I'm being too unserious.

But I am actively choosing to remove all such thoughts! So what if I am unserious! At least I am being true to myself!

Best,

Chelsy
